i shouldn't complain, after all i'm drinking my morning coffee, listening to andrea bocelli and wondering what i'll do for the rest of the day.

a sharp contrast to the southern part of the usa right now isn't it?

i can only imagine that people are watching the news and thinking they are looking at a foreign country - which is sad. they can't relate it to their own backyard. can the administration even realize that they were not prepared? how do you put tens of thousands of people in a sports dome and then realize you don't know how to remove them? maybe i'm missing something here. could be. wouldn't be the first time.

i tried to call new orleans last night myself. a number at tulane university but there was a recording that my phone, not their phones were out of order.

can you imagine that anyone in the usa thought this could never happen to them, that they would never be out of food and water. and yes !! it happened. and this is a wake up call.

i really think that every person in the military on u.s. soil right now should be in that region. there has to be a way, there just has to.

i wanted to write today about other things, but this just came up and so i'll just post another pic that i saw this week, actually the day before the floods -
monday, yes that was it. i never post a photo of the american flag, not since i lost faith in the government, but for this purpose i will - a picture tells a thousand words
